There are moments in life that take your breath away, and my recent session with the beautiful Rigby family was exactly that. On Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, I had the absolute joy of photographing Sophie, her wonderful husband Chris, and their BEAUTIFUL daughter Harper at the stunning Sandy Creek Conservation Park during golden hour. And let me tell you—this session melted my heart in the best possible way.
From the moment we met, it was clear that the Rigbys share a love so deep and pure that it radiates in everything they do. Little Harper’s infectious smile lit up the entire session, her giggles dancing through the golden light like music to my ears. She is the heart and soul of her parents’ world, and their love for her was woven into every embrace, every laugh, and every tender moment.
There is something truly indescribable about the love between a mother and her child. Watching Sophie hold Harper close, gently whispering into her ear as the sun dipped behind the trees, was nothing short of magical. A mother’s love is fierce, unwavering, and infinite—it’s the kind of love that makes time stand still. And Chris? His devotion as a father was just as beautiful to witness. The way he looked at his little girl with pride and wonder, the way he wrapped his arms around his wife and daughter, shielding them in his love—it was the definition of a protector, a rock, and a hero in his daughter’s eyes.
One of the things I love most about being a photographer is getting to witness and capture these raw, authentic connections. The laughter, the warmth, the unscripted moments of pure joy—these are the memories that matter. The Rigbys reminded me why I am so incredibly lucky to do what I do.
This golden hour session was an absolute dream, and I am completely obsessed with how their gallery turned out.
